Product Description
Steel is an alloy based on iron. Iron in the pure iron state brittle and easy to rust, can not be used as an industrial product. Therefore, carbon "C" as well as manganese and phosphorus are usually added to iron to be used in an alloy state. "Steel" refers to the material with a carbon content of about 0.02% to 2.14%.
Carbon content of more than 2.1% is called "cast iron", and carbon content of about 2.1% to 6.67% is treated as cast iron. When the amount of carbon is increased above this level, it will become brittle again and will not be used for industrial purposes.
Cold rolled steel is our most common and commonly used cold rolled products.Its brand can be generally divided into: ST12, ST13, ST14, ST15, ST16 and so on.
ST12 is German standard (DIN1623), It's ordinary cold rolled steel. In principle, ST12 can only be bent and formed, and no stamping is allowed.
